Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 tablespoons melted butter (cooled slightly)
1 1/3 cups buttermilk
2 large eggs
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray or butter, and set it aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, garlic powder, baking powder, salt, and baking soda until well combined.
Stir in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese into the dry ingredients, ensuring the cheese is evenly distributed.
In a separate bowl, beat together the melted butter (slightly cooled), buttermilk, and eggs until smooth and well-combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, and use a spatula to gently fold everything together. Be careful not to overmix—the batter should be just combined with a few lumps remaining.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, and use a spatula to smooth the top. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese over the top for a cheesy, golden crust.
Cover the pan loosely with foil, and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for another 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool the bread in the pan for about 10 minutes before removing it and transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Slice, serve, and enjoy your freshly baked Quick Cheese Bread!

Cheese Variations: While cheddar cheese works best for this recipe, feel free to experiment with other types of cheese like mozzarella, gouda, or Monterey Jack for different flavors.
Add-ins: You can add chopped herbs like rosemary or thyme, or even a little bit of cooked bacon for extra flavor.
